- 1) capsicum - 1/2 medium size
- 2) Red Chilli - 5
- 3) Corriander Seeds - 1 tspn
- 4) Cumin seeds - 1/2 tspn
- 5) Channa dal - 1 tspn
- 6) Urud dal - 1 tspn
- 7) pea nuts - 1 tpsn
- 8) Curry leaves - 10 leaves
- 9) cashew - 15
- 10) Ghee or clarified butter - 4 tspn
- 11) 1 Cup of rice boiled.
- 12) Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
Procedure:
- Fry items 2 till 8 above without oil
- Grind it coarsely ( do not grind so nicely)
- Mix the garam masala with the ground mix above
- Heat a pan, add the ghee and fry the capsicum and cashew for 5 minutes
- Add rice and mix the ground masala mixture
- Add salt and mix the rice well with all ingredients
- Capsicum rice goes well with egg masala or chicken curry.
